I am very pleased to say that I have used the Columbus Conference Centre in Waterloo for both personal and professional functions. Personally, our family used the Fireside Room for a gathering to celebrate the Baptism of our son. It was a beautiful space offering an intimate setting for a small group of family and friends. Professionally, I was pleased to host a Fundraising event for St. David Catholic Secondary School at the Centre. The staff was extremely helpful and were a pleasure to deal with. The facility lent itself quite well to our needs and many of those who attended commented on the cleanliness and ease of accessibility for those with mobility issues. We held our event called 'A special way to remember a special chick' on Saturday January 7th, 2017.  The event was held in my late sister's memory. Ange had spent 10 weeks in the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital last year and the staff were so good to her and us, they made her final days comfortable. We wanted to honour her memory by providing physical comfort to the patients and their family members by raising money to go towards purchasing sleeper chairs . From the beginning of our planning, right down to details we hadn't thought of, like linen tablecloths, how to arrange the room to accommodate seating, dancing, raffle tables, and the welcome table, the staff at the Columbus Conference Centre thought of everything! The staff were always easy to get in contact with, always pleasant and very patient with us. The facilities were fantastic!! Being able to store food in the fridges, use the kitchen for prep, and being able to have them take care of coffee and tea really helped make planning and prepping that much easier!! Our goal was to raise $1500 to purchase one sleeper chair, but thanks to the staff at the Columbus Conference Centre we raised $6200!!  People who attended the party have already asked if we can make this an annual event they had so much fun! The Columbus Conference Centre regular events do not affect business or personal events.   Our rooms and sections are separate for your privacy and convenience.   We have ample parking space and accessible entrances.
